JFA and Sonic 2 Bad Endings

For anyone that played/saw AA2/GS2's bad ending (Matt Engarde is declared Not Guilty), remember that Phoenix assumes that Shelly de Killer releases Maya, yet he clearly states that he NEVER SAW HER AGAIN.
In the 8-bit Sonic 2, if you fail to collect the first five Chaos Emeralds (the sixth is only obtained after collecting these AND defeating Silver Sonic) and clear Scrambled Egg Act 3 (or Crystal Egg Act 3 by cheating), you get the bad ending (Sonic running alone and seeing a constellation of Tails). This ending actually implies Tails dying.
